August Ames hanged herself because cyberbullies attacked her when she she wrote "Most girls I know DON'T work with crossovers." A Twitter pile-on. Whether or not that's true or not doesn't matter--Danny D was both top and bottom in gay porn and no one gives a damn--but what she said was about as controversial as saying water is wet. She clearly had other "issues." I cannot recommend enough Jon Ronson's superb book So You've Been Publicly Shamed and his podcast The Last Days of August. In pace requiescat Mercedes Grabowski.
